quikjot is a finger-writing note-taking app designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
quikjot does not collect any data. Specifically:
All notes you create are stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage directory. This data is accessible only to quikjot and is not shared with any third party. Notes are stored as JSON files and PNG thumbnails.
Your pen color and thickness preferences are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences.
If you uninstall quikjot, all locally stored notes and preferences are permanently deleted.
quikjot requests zero device permissions. The app does not require access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, or any other device capability.
quikjot does not access the internet. The app contains no networking code and does not request the INTERNET permission. No data leaves your device.
quikjot does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
quikjot includes an optional sharing feature that uses Android’s built-in share sheet. When you choose to share a note, the app creates a temporary PNG image and passes it to the Android system’s share mechanism. quikjot does not control or monitor what happens after you select a destination app. The temporary image is stored in the app’s cache directory and may be automatically cleaned up by the Android system.
quikjot does not collect any data from any user, including children. The app is safe for users of all ages.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version at this URL with an updated “Last updated” date. Since quikjot collects no data, any future changes would most likely relate to new features.
